Associate file with a New Program

How to associate files (data, picture, sound or other) with a particular program.
1. Open My Documents folder
2. Click on Tools then Folder Options
3. Click the tab File Types
4. Scroll down until you find your type of file (for a picture file, it might be .jpg or .bmp, etc...)
5. Click on the file type, then click Change
6. Search for the program you wish to open that type of file. (for .jpg, it could be Windows Picture and Fax Viewer or Irfanview, etc...)
7. Click OK
Now the new program will open that type of file.
