How to Correctly Email Messages
The thing about E-Mailing people, is to not harm those people by sending harmful emails.
Viruses are the first thing to be concerned about.
Everyone should have a good anitvirus program, such as Avast or AVG.
The second item of consideration is email addresses.
To many of us FORWARD email, because its the easiest way to do it.
Unfortunatly, when you forward, you leave the addresses of those that sent it, as part of the forwarded message.
This is not necessary and is easy to take care of. When you forward an email, just highlight the addresses in the message and hit the keyboard Delete key.
Note that you may have to highlight and delete one group of addresses at a time.
The third item of consideration is addressing the forwarded message.
Most people just click on an address (or double click) and put it in the "TO:" block.
This would be fine if we are sending to only one person, but we usually send jokes or intersting messages to many people.
When sending to a group of people, the group should be put in the "BCC" (Blind Carbon Copy) block.
In most email programs, you can click on the first address then hold the CTRL key down and select/unselect any other address.
This highlights the addresses which you should then place in the BCC block.
Now that you have read this and still don't quite understand it,
learn how to Copy & Paste.
PS: Question: I send emails by putting all the addressee's in blind carbon copy so each one doesn't know who else is getting the same email. If I don't make a note of who it was sent to, I cant even see who I have sent it to, so someone may be forgotten. Is there any way for the originating computer to see who is in Blind Carbon Copy. Love your newsletter, keep up the great work.
Answer: Yes, you certainly can! Go to your sent folder and right click on the email you want to check. Choose "Properties" from the dropdown menu that opens, then choose "Details." You will be able to see who you sent BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) to. The recipients will not be able to look in the Properties/Details to see though; it only shows on the originating computer.
